STATE OF THE SHIP;

[ The State of the Ship will be posted up on a large monitor at the central entrance to the Ring at all times, regularly updated by Ripley and/or Dimitri(s) (OOCly to be updated each month for some environmental/atmospherical write ups and other things you might be able to use for threads throughout the month in downtime.)

This covers the general state of the ship, its crew, and its AI overlord, along with tasks that need doing around the ship, duties to be performed by each job sector, important notices, and any other vital information that needs sharing (or nonsense Dimitri felt like leaving you). Characters are free to post replies to the State of the Ship and chatter among yourselves, as it will also be sent to each of them as a text document through the neural network, but NPCs may or may not reply (more often not - they’re very busy and you folks have very silly questions).

[ Day 004 ] Update: Hello there’s a big bleeding hole in the ship and we’re all going to die

[ Day 004 ] Update2: Not to really harp on this but if somebody doesn’t put on a jumper and their space moccasins we’re all going to suffocate and go to that big beautiful databank in the sky known as hell.

⬡ RIPley;

Is doing a brilliant job maintaining power and piloting the ship while still holding your hand and teaching you to walk. She seems stable for the moment but it really would be best if you don't distract her so she doesn't accidentally shut off the life support systems or hyperjump us into a black hole. Really could use a facial, maybe a little microdermabrasion. She's hired a nanny so she can focus on her work, dear, best leave her be.

⬡ Tasks;

It’s come to my attention that as organic semi-human beings you’re going to need H20 to survive. As such, one of you lot may want to go for a bit of a swim and unclog whatever’s blocking the water filtration system.

We’re all also getting a bit tired of hearing you complain about how very upsetting it is you have to survive on all that free sustenance provided to you, so you may want to go make use of the garden to grow things that may be slightly less liquid in nature. It’s gotten a bit out of hand because the droids don’t eat plants, so strap on your gardening gloves and have a brilliant time.

Water: precariously stagnant
Food: plenty of goo for everyone
Oxygen: 40% capacity and holding

⬡ Morale;

Please stop screaming, it’s getting a bit hard to concentrate.

⬡ Sleeping arrangements;

Sheets are available near the arrival pods, but we do not yet have enough resource allocation to open up the barracks. Please make yourselves comfortable on the complementary floor provided to you during the course of your stay.

⬡ Crew Jumpsuits;

If for whatever reason you take issue to your other passengers or the droids seeing your dangly bits and bobs, there are body blankets with sleevies and leggies in the storage closets. Please feel free to hide your bodies in shame.

how do we know what were feeling and thinking is real instead of just code and algorithms?
guess its not that different from normal life

yeah they did. world in catastrophe killzone experiment department, and their favorite chant was "wicked is good", like that's not suspicious as hell.

[ there's a pause, thomas not sure this guy really wants to hear this, but. well, he asked. ]

it deteriorates the brain. starts out with just irritation and aggression, and it gradually gets worse. violence, hallucinations, delusions, erratic behavior. people start hurting themselves - clawing at their skin, biting off their fingers, gouging out their own eyes. they stop feeling pain, go totally whacked in the head. turn on anyone and anything around them. eat people or animals - alive or dead, doesn't matter.

the worst part is its slow. you don't just turn one day. it takes weeks, and they have lucid moments. i saw people ripping their friends' face off one second, looking confused and horrified the next.

it's sick.
