This community survival, jobs assignment thing is cute and all, but we're forgetting a direly necessary aspect of all civilized society across eras and dimensions:

The time-honored tradition of getting shitfaced on intoxicants to avoid facing the doomed reality we're all chained to.

anywho, back to spelunking for more supplies. ]
That understood, I'm taking volunteers for this vital project.
Despite the droid army's literal buzzkilling, I have a few buckets, a lot of piping, and not a single clue what to do with any of it to make alcohol happen.
[ as you can see at his feet: a couple buckets, much piping. there appears to be another useful tub looking thing in the crate he's reaching for now, that's a little too high up for him. ]
So if anyon— oh come on, you hunk of space trash. [ jack is about half a foot too short to be able to reach this crate and it's really starting to get obnoxious. that is, until the crate rockets off the edge of what it's sitting on, smacking jack directly in the face, and sending him toppling backwards onto his ass. sitting up straight with a jolt, he's squinting down at where the tub inside rolled, some 5 or so yards away, stretches out a hand, aaaand...
zoom, right into his palm. ballin. ]
Uhm. Powers are back?

He might've been something on the side of demi-god, we really didn't know for certain.

Didn't even know that was possible. Doesn't work that way where I'm from. You're born with powers even if they don't manifest immediately. I don't know anyone that can give that to someone else.
